Lavish - Mastering Clipper

Precision clipping. Measured, not guessed.

Mastering clipping and saturation plugin inspired by legendary converter hardware. Three clipping modes, intelligent saturation, analog tone shaping.

The last stage before your master leaves the box.

Most clippers just chop peaks. LAVISH shapes them. Every clipping
curve was meticulously measured: transfer characteristics, impulse
response, harmonic distortion, gain behavior across the full
signal range. Then fitted to mathematical models and validated
against the originals.

The result is a clipper that sounds like a high-end converter
handling your signal, not a formula cutting off your transients.

The secret behind converter loudness.

Mastering engineers have known this for decades: push a high-end converter a little too hard and something magical happens. The signal gets warmer, fuller, louder, without a limiter anywhere in sight.

LAVISH captures that behavior. Its proprietary multi-stage algorithm lets several saturation and clipping layers interact musically: preamp coloration, harmonic generation, and warmth, all working together to form one coherent signal. Quiet signals get lifted. Loud signals get progressively rounded. No pumping, no breathing, no time constants.

Choose your character: Vintage for warmth. Modern for control.

Three ways to handle peaks.

Every mode was meticulously measured and reproduced as a mathematical model. Not just approximations, actual transfer curves.

Modern is smooth and transparent. With a bit of a knee that controls peaks without audible artifacts. Built for mastering and mix bus work where you need loudness without compromise.

Vintage is the converter sound. A softer knee with harmonic warmth built into the clipping curve itself. Subtle saturation that adds body and oomph to the signal.

Hard is aggressive and direct. Minimal knee, maximum impact. For when you want the effect to be part of the sound.

See What You're Doing. Or Choose Not To.

A scrolling real-time waveform display shows you exactly where peaks are hitting the ceiling. Drag the ceiling indicator directly in the waveform, see what gain increases or decreases do to your signal.

And when you'd rather trust your ears than your eyes, hit the eye icon to turn the display off. Becuase sometimes not looking is the best way to listen.

The Wing – Your Central Interface

The Wing keeps things simple: all the essential controls are visible by default. And honestly, that's all you'll need most of the time. But when you want to dig deeper, just expand it for the full range of options.

These are real-session settings, not extreme demonstrations.

Built from measurements, not just assumptions.

I've been mixing and mastering records for over 20 years. Of course I love hardware. And there's this one golden hardware converter that just does the most musical clipping. Transparent, yet warm and punchyat the same and impossible to replicate with a simle formula.

I built LAVISH for two reasons. The selfish one: I wanted that converter sound in the box. On the go, in every session, without routing through a rack.

The bigger one: I wanted to make this kind of quality accessible. Plugins that do similar things cost well above 200 dollars. That's a lot of money for an independent artist and upcoming engineers.

So I spent many late nights measuring. Meticulously. Transfer curves at dozens of signal levels. THD across the full frequency range. Impulse responses. Gain behavior at every setting. Hundreds of test signals, rendered, analyzed, and compared.

Then I built LAVISH to match what I heard and measured. Every clipping mode, every saturation curve, every EQ shape was tuned until the numbers and, more importantly, the sound was right.
